roundtable discussions
In order
to broaden their horizon and knowledge, members of the Mission's diplomatic
staff have bi-weekly roundtable discussions starting from 9 February 2000.
This activity, which was initiated by Ambassador
Dr. N. Hassan Wirajuda, is scheduled to take place every second and
fourth Wednesday from 8.30 to 10.00 in the morning.
Each and
every staff member takes turn as presenter and moderator, according to
a pre-determined schedule based on a seniority order upwards. A presenter
should write and present a short paper on a specific issue based on at
least two articles published in academic journals or books. A moderator
would then summarize the discussion on that particular issue. The roundtable
discussion is conducted in English.
