Delegate groups of representatives-elect, national races and workers discuss
chapters on "Election", "Political Parties" and "Provision on State of Emergency"

Yangon, 16 Nov - Group meetings of the delegate group of representatives-elect, the delegative group of national races and the delegate group of workers were held at Nyaunghnapin Camp in Hmawby Township today.

Delegate group of Representatives-elect

U San Tha Aung of Mro (or) Khami National Solidarity Organization presided over the meeting together with U Law Hsin Kwam of Kokang Democracy and Unity Party and U Mahn Tihn Maung (or) U Mahn Myo Nyunt of Union Kayin League, and Deputy Diector U Khin Sein of Work Group 4 of National Convention Convening Work Committee acted as MC together with Assistant Director Daw Mi Mi Shein.

The MC announced the validity of the meeting as 12 delegates attended the meeting accountin for cent per cent.

Next, Meeting Chairman U San Tha Aung delivered an opening speech.

Representatives- elect U Thet Wai of Wakema Township Constituency No 2 of National Unity Party and U Thein Tun of Ingapu Township Constituency No 2, independent representatives-elect Dr Hmu Htan of Thantlang Township Constituency, U Aung Thein of Ywangan Township Constituency and U Tun Kyaw of Namsam Township Constituency presented the proposal on the detailed basic principals concerning the chapter on "Election", the chapter on "Political Parties" and the chapter on "Provision on State of Emergency" to be included in drafting the State Constitution.

The meeting ended with concluding remarks by the Chairman of the Meeting.

Delegate Group of National Races

Duwa Zoak Dong of Shan State (North) presided over the meeting together with U Kyaw Din (or) U Htay Yei of Kayah State, U Mahn Ohn Maung of Kayin State, U Maung Hla (or) U Hla Myint of Taninthayi Division and U Aung Zan Wai of Rakhine State, and Deputy Director U Tin Maung Oo of Work Group 5 of National Convention Convening Work Committee acted as MC together with Assistant Director U Ye Lwin.

The MC announced the validity of the meeting as 515 delegates out of 645 attended the meeting accounting for 79.84 per cent.

Next, Meeting Chairman Duwa Zoak Dong delivered an opening speech.

U Sai Hsan Tit of Shan State, Daw Yi Yi Myint of Mon State, U Saw Win Htain of Kayin State and Dr Aung Tha of Taninthayi Division presented the proposal to be submitted to the Plenary Session of the National Convention on the detailed basic princi-pals concerning the chapter on "Election", the chapter on "Political Parties" and the chapter on Provision on State of Emergency" to be included in drafting the State Constitution. The meeting ended with concluding remarks by the Chairman of the Meeting.

Delegates Group of Workers

U Kyaw Win Tun of Mandalay Division presided over the meeting together with U Khin Maung Aye of Sagaing Division and U Bo Thein of Shan State (East) and Deputy Director U Zaw Win of Work Group-7 of National Convention Convening Work Committee acted as MC together with Assistant Director U Aung Win.

The MC announced the validity of the meeting as 44 delegates out of 47 attended the meeting accounting for 93.62 per cent.

Next, Meeting Chairman U Kyaw Win Tun delivered an opening speech.

Meeting Chairman U Kyaw Win Tun of Mandalay Division presented proposals on the detailed basic principals concerning the chapters on "Amendment of the Constitution", "State Flag, State Seal, National Anthem and the Capital", "Transitory Provisions" and "General Provision" to be included in drafting the State Constitution.

The meeting ended with concluding remarks by the Chairman of the Meeting.
