
Yangon, 17 Nov — Delegate Group of Representatives-elect and the
Delegate Group of State Service Personnel of the National Convention held
group discussions at the designated halls of Nyaunghnapin Camp in Hmawby
Township this morning.
Delegate Group of Representatives-elect
U Law Hsin Kwam of Kokang Democracy and Unity Party presided over the
meeting together with members of the panel of chairmen U Mahn Tin Maung (a) U
Mahn Myo Nyunt of Union Kayin League and U Maung Gyi of Union Pa-O National
Organization.
The meeting was attended by 12 delegates or cent per cent.
First, Alternate Chairman U Law Hsin Kwam of Kokang Democracy and Unity
Party gave a speech.
U San Tha Aung of Mro (or) Khami National Solidarity Organization,
independent representatives-elect U Kyi Win of Mingaladon Township
Constituency-1, U Tin Tun Maung of Mingaladon Township Constituency-2, U Tin
Win of Kyaiklat Township Constituency-2, U Hla Soe of Minbu Township
Constituency-2 and U Thein Kyi of Taungdwingyi Township Constituency-1
submitted proposals of the delegate group of representatives-elect on laying
down for detailed basic principles of the chapters “Election”,
“Political Parties”, and “Provision on State of Emergency”.
The alternate chairman discussed matters related to proposals to be
submitted by the delegates on laying down for detailed basic principles of the
chapter on Amendment of the Constitution, State Flag, State Seal, National
Anthem, and the Capital, the chapter on Transitory Provisions, and the chapter
on General Provisions to be included in drafting the State Constitution. The
delegates participated in the discussions, and the alternate chairman
announced the date to submit the proposals.
Later, the meeting ended with concluding remarks by the alternate
chairmen.
Delegate Group of State Service Personnel
U Tin Kha of the Ministry of Information presided over the meeting
together with members of the panel of chairmen Maj-Gen Aung Thein of the
Ministry of Defence and U Arnt Maung of the Ministry of Religious Affairs
Department.
Out of 108, a total of 104 delegates attended the meeting, accounting
for 96.30 per cent.
First, Alternate Chairman U Tin Kha delivered an address. Member of the
Panel of Chairmen U Arnt Maung explained setting up of the proposal
compilation group for detailed basic principles of the chapter on Amendment of
the Constitution, State Flag, State Seal, National Anthem, and the Capital,
the chapter on Transitory Provisions, and the chapter on General Provisions to
be included in drafting the State Constitution.
Delegates U Hsan Tun of the Ministry of Mines, Daw San Myint of the
State Peace and Development Council Office and U Aung Kyi Thein of the
Ministry of Agriculture and Irrigation read the proposal of the delegate group
on matters concerning detail basic principles for the chapter on Election, the
chapter on Political Parties, and the chapter on Provisions on State of
Emergency.
The Alternate Chairman approved the proposal. Later, the meeting ended
with concluding remarks by the alternate chairman.
