Delegate Groups of National Convention hold meetings

YANGON, 9 Nov —The group meetings of the delegate groups of the National Convention — Delegate Group of Workers, Delegate Group of Intellectuals and Intelligentsia, and Delegate Group of State Service Personnel — were held at Nyaunghnapin Camp in Hmawby Township today.

Delegate Group of Workers The group meeting of the Delegate Group of Workers was presided over by U Khin Maung Aye of Sagaing Division together with members of the panel of chairmen U Kyaw Myo Win of Bago Division and U Kyaw Win Tun of Mandalay Division. Deputy Director of the Work Group-7 of the Office of National Convention Convening Work Committee U Zaw Win and Assistant Director U Aung Winacted as MCs.

All delegates of the group attended the meeting. Participants of the meeting discussed the proposal of the group on detailed basic principles concerning the chapters on Election, Political Parties, and Provision on State of Emergency.

The meeting chairman sought the approval of the proposal from the delegates and approved it. The meeting concluded with remarks by the meeting chairman. Delegate Group of Intellectuals and Intelligentsia The Delegate Group of Intellectuals and Intelligentsia held its group meeting at the hall No-6. The meeting was presided over by Dr Maung Maung Wint of the Ministry of Health together with members of the panel of chairmen U Hla Myint of the Ministry of Rail Transportation and Dr Thein Nyunt of the Ministry of Health. Master of Ceremonies Deputy Director U Than Win of the Office of NCCWC announced the validity of the meeting as out of 56 delegates of the group, 55 participated in the meeting, accounting for 98.21 per cent.

At the meeting, participants discussed the proposal of the group on detailed basic principles concerning the chapters on Election, Political Parties and Provision on State of Emergency.

Delegate Group of State Service Personnel The group meeting of the Delegate Group of State Service Personnel was presided over by Maj-Gen Aung Thein of the Ministry of Defence together with members of panel of chairman Dr Daw Myat Myat Ohn Khin of Ministry of Health and U Tin Kha of Ministry of Information. Deputy Director U Htay Win of the Work Group-9 of the Office of National Convention Convening Work Committee and Assistant Director U Htein Min acted as MCs.

Out of 109 delegates of the group, 107 participated in the meeting. Alternate Chairman Maj-Gen Aung Thein addressed the meeting. At the meeting, delegates Daw Saw Kyi Kyi of the Government Office, Daw San Myint of the Office of the State Peace and Development Council and U Aung Kyi Thein of the Ministry of Agriculture and Irrigation presented proposal of the group on detailed basic principles concerning the chapter on Provision on State of Emergency.

The meeting ended with concluding remarks by the meeting chairman.
