
NCC Management Committee discusses preparations for reconvening
final session of National Convention Officials urged to make preparations for
reception, welfare, health and transport matters for the delegates
Nay Pyi Taw, 21 June - The National
Convention Convening Management Committee held a coordination meeting at the
hall of the Auditor-General's office, here, this afternoon, with an address by
Chairman of the NCC Management Committee Auditor-General Maj-Gen Lun Maung.
Also present at the meeting were
Vice-Chairman of the NCC Management Committee Deputy Minister for Hotels and
Tourism Brig-Gen Aye Myint Kyu, members of the Management Committee deputy
ministers and departmental heads, chairmen and secretaries of subcommittees
and departmental officials.
Speaking on the occasion, Chairman of
the NCC Management Committee Auditor-General Maj-Gen Lun Maung said that the
final session of the National Convention will be reconvened at Nyaunghnapin
Camp in Hmawby Township of Yangon Division on 18 July 2007. Hence, the time is
getting near to hold the National Convention. The National Convention
Convening Management Committee and subcommittees are to discuss coordination
tasks to successfully reconvene the National Convention. The NCC Management
Committee is to make proper preparations for smooth holding of the convention.
As the final stage of the National
Convention will be held during the rainy season, it is necessary to renovate
the hostels for the delegates. Furthermore, he stressed the need to prepare
regular tasks such as reception, welfare, health and transport matters for the
delegates. The NCC Management Committee has assigned sector-wise duties and
functions to respective subcommittees. Hence, all are to harmoniously strive
for gaining success in the respective tasks. In conclusion, the Chairman
invited the subcommittees to submit reports on progress of the tasks.
The chairmen and secretaries of the
subcommittees presented reports on completion of tasks and future plans.
Officials of Yangon City Development
Committee and the Ministry of Energy reported on their respective sectors and
future tasks.
The members of the NCC Management
Committee took part in the discussions.
After reviewing the reports, Chairman
of the NCC Management Committee Auditor-General Maj-Gen Lun Maung instructed
all to make complete preparations for tasks of the Management Committee not
later than 13 July.
