Two
groups of delegates hold meetings
YANGON,
29 Dec — The delegate group of national races and the delegate group of
intellectuals and intelligentsia held their meetings in the Pyidaungsu Hall
and designated meeting hall of Nyaunghnapin Camp in Hmawby Township this
morning.

The
meeting of the delegate group of national races took place in the Pyidaungsu
Hall this morning.

Meeting
Chairman U Kyaw Din (a) U Thay Rai gave a speech.

delegates U Shi Thee of Sagaing Division, Daw San San Htay of Ayeyawady
Division, U Pyay Lay of Chin State, Daw Aye Cho Sein of Shan State (South),
Daw Khin Lay Myint of Mon State and U Sai Thein Aung of Kachin State read out
the proposal concerning detailed basic principles to be adopted in legislative
sector of Pyidaungsu Hlattaw, Pyithu Hluttaw, Amyotha Hluttaw and region or
state Hluttaw to be included in drawing the State Constitution.
Next,
the delegates approved the proposal.
Delegate
group of intellectuals and intelligentsia
The
delegate group of intellectuals and intelligentsia held its meeting at the
meeting hall-6. U Hla Myint of the Ministry of Rail Transportation presided
over the meeting together with members of the panel of chairmen President U
Tin Hlaing of Myanmar Academy of Agriculture, Forestry, Livestock Breeding and
Fisheries Sciences and Film Director U Khin Zaw.
Deputy
Director U Than Win and Assistant Director U Nyein Myint of Work Gorup-8 of
the National Convention Convening Work Committee acted as MCs.
Meeting
chairman U Hla Myint gave an opening speech.
