URGENT ADVISORY TO KABABAYANS
TRAVELING TO GENEVA
The
Consulate-General wishes to advise all Filipinos traveling to Geneva
to be extra careful with their valuables, bags and other belongings
especially in the areas of the airport and the Gare Cornavin
(train station), due to a number of cases reported to the
Consulate involving kababayans losing their bags containing
valuables such as money, passport, tickets, etc., while their owners
were being distracted by persons posing as needing help (asking
questions, directions or change for the vendo machines, and the
like).
All are strongly
advised to keep their bags and valuables close to their person AT ALL
TIMES and to refrain from putting on the floor or leaving unattended
their bags, even in toilets and fitting rooms in stores.
