The Mission
The South African Permanent Mission in Geneva is the Diplomatic Representation of South Africa in Geneva.
The Mission is under the supervision of the Department of International Relations and Cooperation (DIRCO) and, eventually, other Ministries. Bilateral relations apply between the host country and the representation.
A Mission in Geneva represents its Government at meetings held within the framework of International Organizations; Geneva is thus the capital of major world stakes of multilateral negotiations for the future of Humans and Nations.
Consular Services
The South African Mission has a consular service which is accredited to the following cantons: Geneva, Vaud, Valais and Fribourg. Telephonic inquiries are welcome Monday through Friday from 2:00 PM to 4:00PM.

The consular services are open to public every weekday from 9:30AM to 12:30PM
- Swiss citizens do not require a visa to enter South Africa for tourism purpose
- For fingerprints please make an appointment in advance (call between 2:00pm and 4:00pm) at 022 849 54 54
- Visa fees must be paid electronically only
